Rare footage of the original Slum Village line-up of J. Dilla, Baatin & T-3 surfaced recently via Soulasis Music. Dilla's anniversary of his passing (Feb 10 2006) is coming up soon, and we salute the Late Baatin (July 31 2009) as well.
As one of hip hop's most revered beatmakers, anything new featuring Dilla is highly appreciated. Plus a little mundane madness showing the rigors of touring is welcome. No groupies, no butler service, no penthouse suites, just the regular grind for one of hiphop's most critically celebrated trios.
