Common - Poetry at the White House
That ain't the way Langston Hughes wrote us...And this is the guy The Conservatives chose to hate.
Jon Stewart slaps Fox News for Outrage on Common
We'll let Jon Stewart do it, so we don't have to.
The Right has been outraged at rapper Common's recent appearance at a poetry event at the White House, and Sean Hannity has led the charge on TV.
Where the outrage was when "Dont retreat, reload" was trotted out by Sarah Palin, we'll never know, but if there is anyone who can call them out brilliantly, the Daily Show Guy is him. With a diss rap to boot.
At the end of the day, it's just giving the guys at G.O.O.D Music something weighty to say on their new records. The kind of things ignorance will always throw mud at.
Aaand we're off the soap box. Take it away Mr. Stewart.
